Trenchless Sewer Repair
Trenchless Sewer Line Repair – The Less Destructive Alternative
Trenchless sewer line repair is a method of re-piping or re-lining that doesn’t involve digging a trench to reach your underground sewer pipes. An access hole is dug to allow our re-piping tool access to your current line. Once the new pipe or new lining is installed, the access hole is refilled. This method is a relatively quick process with minimal disruption to your landscaping and home. Trenchless pipe repair is often the preferred less expensive route when considering the amount of landscaping and concrete repair that a traditional trench dug repiping can cause. The two common methods of trenchless repiping include either installing a new pipe lining or using a pipe bursting device to break apart your old pipe while pulling in a new pipe.
Sewer pipes are buried under your yard. When they need repair, consider a trenchless replacement method.
New Pipe Lining Method
Having your current pipe relined is a great way to repair your sewer line while leaving your old pipe in place. This lining is just as strong as a new pipe with the benefit of being seamless. After clearing away any debris in your existing sewer line with our hot hydro-jetter and verify the integrity of the pipe structure with our sewer camera, our plumber will then install a flexible tube coated with a resin into your old pipe. Once the flexible tube is in place it is inflated so that it makes contact with the sides of the old pipe. The new pipe liner will harden and be just as strong as a new pipe but with the added benefit of not having any joints and corrosion resistant.
Pipe Bursting Method
Pipe bursting is a quick way to replace your current underground pipe with a new pipe while at the same time breaking apart the old pipe. This method works by inserting a pipe bursting tool into your current pipe. As the tool travels through the old pipe and pushes it aside into the soil it pulls a new pipe behind it. Trenchless re-piping and re-lining, in general, are less costly than digging a trench when you consider the restoration work that is required to your landscaping and concrete. It also saves money in permit costs.
